Developer releases new renderings for Broadway high-rise
A Brentwood real estate developer is touting new renderings of his proposed office tower at a gateway into downtown Nashville.
GBT Realty Corp., founded by George Tomlin, is pursuing plans for the 23- to 27-story office tower depicted in these renderings. The building will contain between 365,000 square feet and 500,000 square feet of office space — a range that would be solidified if or when prospective tenants commit to lease space in the project.
The building, named for its address at 1221 Broadway, also would feature 7,000 square feet of retail and a 10th-floor amenity deck for tenants. GBT has torn down the Firestone Complete Auto Care shop that used to operate from the property, which GBT bought for $7 million late last year. GBT is under contract to buy a neighboring property, which would give the developer a total of 0.8 acres to work with.
The scope of the project has not changed since GBT revealed its plans last month.
