The Brick & Mortar District (under construction) will be the gathering place for all of northern Hays County. It is just 20 minutes south of downtown Austin and 12 miles north of Texas State University in San Marcos.

The city has two main transportation arteries running through it – Interstate 35 and MoPac Rail Line
